Workshops arranged in conjunction with Aurora Metro, publishers of Votes for Women by Susan Croft. Text Box: Hampton Community College In this workshop, Year 10 pupils were asked to lay aside their own views and take on the role of the Suffragettes, Suffragists and the Liberal Government to allow them to reflect on social change during the past 100 years. Text Box: Hampton Court House Independent School Written Monologues and Investigative journalism featured in this Suffragette based workshop with year 9/10 pupils. Text Box: Girl Guides As both organizations reach their centenary year, role-play workshops were used to encourage mixed age Girl Guides groups to look at the effects of social change for women during the past 100 Text Box: Sacred Heart HIgh School, Hammersmith Year 9 pupils participated in an IT workshop aimed at discovering the link between an Indian Princess, Queen Victoria and the Suffragette movement.
BESPOKE ACTIVITY WITH POETRY AND IT
Text Box: The Vineyard School, Richmond Two year 6 classes participated in role-play and combined creative writing/IT workshops where they discovered what life was like for the Suffragettes, Suffragists and Asquith’s Liberal Government and Sophia Duleep Singh.
